SMALL BUSINESS CREDIT INDEX

ABOUT THIS CHART

The Experian/Moody’s Analytics Small Business Credit Index is an indicator that is reported every quarter and includes key factors like growth of credit balances and delinquency. It uses repayment data from banks and other credit providers to assess conditions at U.S. businesses with less than 100 employees.

The index has hit a new high in the 4th Quarter of 2014, reaching 116.7; up 1.5 points from the previous quarter. This means that credit conditions for small businesses in the U.S. are improving.
